Stand of Suffolk Men at Wancourt, March 1918From the painting by Ernest Smythe [1874-1950]. Ernest Smythe served with the Suffolk Regiment during the WWI before emigrating in 1916 to the United States. The image was copied on 29 December 2014 from the website http://www.reddit.com/r/BattlePaintings/comments/2eohvk/stand_of_suffolk_men_at_wancourt_march_27th_1918/ Allen was wounded and taken prisoner at Wancourt.Contributed by:
