Remembering the lives of those who worked for United Counties Bank Ltd. The bank name was adopted in 1907 following the merger of Birmingham District and Counties Bank with Bradford Old Bank in that year. The head office of United Counties Bank Ltd was at Colmore Row, Birmingham. In 1916 United Counties was acquired by Barclay and Co Ltd, giving Barclays a stronghold in the West Midlands and West Riding. Further information about the people in this community may also be available in the Barclays Group Archives.
