Lives of the First World War

The 'History of the The Prince of Wales' Own Civil Service Rifles' published in 1920 states that 8,588 men enlisted directly into the Regiment from 5 August 1914. This community is curated by Ann Green and Michael Newbury. We are very grateful to Paul Woollard whose research has identified that at least 10,500 men served with the Regiment. Some of these men were subsequently posted to other regiments. This community commemorates them and brings together their records to make tracing their life stories easier.
