Fife's Own - The 1/7th (Fife) Battalion Black Watch (Royal Highlanders)
Some of the men who went with the Territorial Battalion to France in May 1915 with the 51st (Highland) Division. Many were pre-war territorials, some with many years service, others had rushed to join, and in some cases re-join, the Battalion in the early months of the war. This community will not attempt to cover all those that served with the 1/7th, 2/7th and 3/7th Battalions as that would stretch into the thousands but should give a snapshot of just some of the men of the 1/7th Battalion on 2nd May 1915.
