The war memorial is located in the grounds of the church and consists of 127 names. The missing name in this community is E LODGE (also shown on the Beckenham War Memorial). Holy Trinity Beckenham records show he was a Driver in Royal Field Artillery and show an address for the person proposing his name for the memorial. It is believed that he was actually E SMITH, taken in by his maternal aunt, at the turn of the century, when his parents died. Unfortunately, there is presently no way of proving it!
