Only five men who share the surname "Pready" served in WW1. They are all distantly related. One, Samuel Pready, of the Gloucestershire regiment, was killed during the Battle of the Somme and has no known grave. His name is recorded on the Thiepval memorial. The others, who survived WW1, were: Jason Pready (b.1883) of Ledbury and his nephew, William J E Pready (b. 1899) of Tewkesbury, both Royal Engineers; and William J Pready (b.1870), originally from Gloucestershire, and his son William J Pready (b.1902).
