THE OSSETT FALLEN IN THE GREAT WAR

THE OSSETT FALLEN IN THE GREAT WAR

318 biographies have been researched and written to perpetuate the memory of those men of Ossett in West Yorkshire who died in WWI. All but four of these men (James W. Clayton, Joshua Ellis, Walter Norton & George E.Robinson) and their biographies can be seen here. All 318 biographies and others can be viewed at http://ossett.net/ww1.html. THE OSSETT FALLEN Facebook Group ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/1829788747109050/ ) was launched on 1st August 2018 to inform the town of the unveiling of these names at the Ossett War Memorial on November 11th 2018 . Until that day the Ossett War Memorial, unveiled on November 11th 1928, bore no names. These 318 men who lost their lives in WWI and 88 Ossett men and women who died in WWII will now be remembered at the Ossett War Memorial as they were known in life. By their names.
