The printed list is headed ""Barclays Bank Limited. List of Local Directors and Members of the Staff killed in action, or who have died whilst serving with His Majesty's Forces. 1914-1918."". The hand-written annotations date between 1919 & 1924, and it looks as though they were writing to branches, local head offices and families to obtain details about the men who died. The printed information consists of name, rank, regiment, and bank branch. Written by each name is date of death, and a code indicating whether the person had originally been employed by one of the companies that Barclays had acquired during the war years – i.e., United Counties Bank, London & Provincial Bank Ltd, and London & South Western Bank. Some extra names have also been written on the list. Further information about the person may also be available in Barclays Group Archives.
