David and William who both left Scotland for a better life in Australia only to be drawn back to Europe by the First World War. Both brothers died serving with the ANZACS. William was one of the missing in the disastrous attack on the Hindenburg Line at Bullecourt in April 1917 and David died of wounds during the summer of 1918.
