Sailors' Home and Harbour Mission, Ramsgate

Sailors' Home and Harbour Mission, Ramsgate

Names recorded on the Ramsgate Fishermans' Roll of Honour in the Sailors' Church, Ramsgate. The wooden board inscribed with gold lettering states that the 'writer' was Ernest Taylor of Ramsgate in 1997. The board does not specifically state which war is commemorated or whether those recorded lost their lives. However I am indebted to a website compiled by J P Kellcher in 2013 recording the details of the deaths in WW1 of those inscribed on the memorial. There are 36 names listed under the names of vessels, and 35 sailors listed without naming their ship.
