The four brothers and a cousin were born in Grundisburgh in Suffolk. Three of the brothers were Kitchener volunteers in the Suffolk Regiment, the fourth joined the RN in 1918. The cousin was a pre-war regular in the Suffolks. The brothers wrote 300 letters to their mother, my grandmother, during 1914-16, and the letters are transcribed with photos and my commentaries (see 'Contents') at www.goodchilds.org.
