HM Submarine E15

E15 was the first submarine to attempt to penetrate the Dardanelles but ran aground on Kephez point and was attacked by Turkish forces. Six of the crew including the CO were killed in the initial engagement, with the remainder captured and interned as Prisoners of War. Eight of these subsequently died whilst PoWs.
