A destroyer of the Acasta class, HMS Ambuscade was one of 16 ships in the 4th Destroyer Flotilla at the Battle of Jutland. During the confused night action when the Destroyers engaged the High Seas Fleet crossing astern of the Grand Fleet, Ambuscade fired all her torpedoes but emerged undamaged. The story of HMS Ambuscade at Jutland is told in Pat Avery's book "Duel in the North Sea" based on the diaries of his grandfather, Leading Telegraphist Basil Phillips (J10426)(http://www.seafunnel.co.uk/) and sold in aid of RN&RM Charity. This Community aims to include all those who served in HMS Ambuscade at Jutland. To share, or request, information, please email: gerrycostellofww[at]gmail.com
