Three women were killed and two others injured in an explosion that occurred on November 18, 1918, one week after the war had ended. The women were at work dismantling shells. Edith Ellen Copham, Mary Fitzmaurice, and Jane Jenkins died; Annie Davies and Selina Davies were injured.
