During this phase of the Second Battle of Ypres 8-13th May 1915, the Germans attempted to break through between the 27th and 28th Divisions. With the use of chlorine gas, overwhelming artillery fire and three Corps attacking, they succeeded in creating a 2-mile gap in the line which was initially and gallantly filled by the Canadian PPCLI. In the British stand on the 13th, the Leicestershire Yeomanry, part of the 7th Cavalry Brigade and fighting dismounted, lost seven Officers killed, including the Commanding Officer and two Squadron Leaders, and eighty-seven other ranks killed and missing; five Officers wounded, including the 2ic and one Squadron Leader, and eighty-eight other ranks wounded. At great cost to both sides, the German advance against the Salient had been stopped, and it was another ten days before fresh German forces tried again. The War Diary entry is attached to Lt Col Evans-Freke's record at https://livesofthefirstworldwar.org/lifestory/5312800 See also http://www.paoyeomanry.co.uk for more details (please note that I've included all those men on the 1914 Star Roll who disembarked on 2nd November 1914; they were not all at Frezenberg)
