Macclesfield Post Office Roll of Honour (IWM Ref 57617) and War Memorial

Men named on the Macclesfield Post Office Roll of Honour. This memorial is now lost and the names have been obtained from a newspaper report of the unveiling which took place on 4 April 1917. There was also a Post Office War Memorial which included photographs of those who lost their lives, below which was a brass plaque listing the names. These were unveiled on 3 July 1921 and are not listed on the IWM inventory of war memorials. The names on this memorial were B Arnold, F Bradley, W Brown, T Gleave, T Hodkinson, A Leah, E McKay, S T Orme.
