Preston men and women who served at home or abroad during the First World War and survived the conflict. Includes prisoners of war who returned home and known WW1 veterans who settled in Preston after the war. We also hope to identify more Preston people who helped with the war effort and help to add their stories to Lives of the First World War and to this community. Ideas include munition workers, nurses and volunteers with WW1 charities. If your ancestor was involved in any of these activities in Preston, Lancashire please contact us.
