When Captain Tommy Byers was a resident in a rest home back in 1975, he gave his photo collection from WW1 to Lives of the First World War member Dave Donatelli. Tommy collected photos of his friends and his family before during and after the war. There are close to 400 images, and most include names and dates from 1909 to 1920. Tommy passed away at the age of 82 years. Dave Donatelli is very kindly making the images available on Lives of the First World War. Please note that the photographs are © Dave Donatelli, and may only be reproduced for non-commercial purposes, attributing his copyright. To enquire about using the photos for any type of commercial purpose, please contact Dave Donatelli.
