The Chable brothers
Rene and Henry appear to have been living at Maisons Lafitte, near Versailles when war broke out. Rene went to Paris to join the British Army, and Henry enlisted locally in the French Foreign Legion. Both men died in the war. Their brother Joseph was invalided from the British Army and survived the war.
