Second World War Generals

Second World War Generals

The young officers of the Great War were in their forties and fifties by 1939; many of them volunteered to help in any way they could. Some had remained in the Regular Army between the wars, often taking steps down in rank to do so, and many of these became the Generals of the Second World War.
