Chancel War Memorial, St Peter's Church Yateley

A tablet memorial with 40 names was unveiled in St Peter's Church Yateley at a service held at 3 pm on 25th February 1922. The memorial was destroyed in May 1979 when the old Saxon church was burnt down by an arsonist to cover his theft of Victorian musical instruments. When the church was rebuilt the original memorial was replaced by a wooden board. There is a slight difference from the names on the monumental cross on Church End Green.
