Rossendale United Football Club was a semi-professional football club based in the village of Newchurch in the Borough of Rawtenstall (now Rossendale), Lancashire, England. The club was founded in 1898 and had a long and eventful existence which had seen a lot of success, but also long periods of hardship that had brought the clubs existence in to doubt on many occasions before they were finally expelled from the North West Counties League Premier Division on 18 June 2011, then forced to dissolve. This community attempts to record known players, from this largely forgotten Club, who served in the Great War and did not return.
