The extracted information is added to individual "lives" under story "FURTHER RESEARCH: Rossendale Free PRESS (date of entry)" followed by detail showing (where available) surname, forename, rank, unit, address, date of newspaper entry and age. NOTES: 1. It is unlikely this Community will be followed through with Transcriptions prior to the closure of the Lives Project in 2019. 2. Additions to "Rossendale WW1 Casualties As Reported in the Rossendale Free Press" are added here but have not been forwarded to CEMSEARCH.com. 3. Those local servicemen whose deaths are not recorded in "Rossendale WW1 Casualties As Reported in the Rossendale Free Press", and have no known local War Memorial, are grouped under the Community "Borough of Rawtenstall.
