HMS Collingwood was a St Vincent class Battleship in the 1st Battle Squadron at Jutland. During the battle, she opened fire with her 12-inch guns on the German cruiser SMS Wiesbaden and later at the battlecruiser SMS Derfflinger. Her secondary armament also engaged the German destroyer SMS G42. A total of 84 shells were fired from main armament and 35 shells from 4-inch guns, but no hits were received or casualties sustained.
