'Lest We Forget' "Their name liveth for evermore" on the Barnard Castle Post Office's Roll of Honour:- To The Fallen: John Bailey; John Gilmore; Harold Robert Lumley; Thomas Shepherd and William Thompson. These five Fallen have their names bordered in black - with the exception of a sixth, Joseph Wilkinson, where the border has been omitted. We Will Remember Them!!! The Roll of Honour / Post Office / Barnard Castle The memorial is located in the Callers Office at Royal Mail Barnard Castle Delivery Office, Harmire Enterprise Park, BARNARD CASTLE, DL12 8AX and contains a Roll of Honour of those Teesdale Postmen/Postal Workers who went to war who were connected with Barnard Castle Post Office/G.P.O.. It takes the form of a wooden framed, white marble plaque with black lettering. The Fallen have their names highlighted with a border. The names listed are not in a recognisable order on the memorial plaque.
