Leslie War Memorial

Leslie War Memorial

War Memorial in this central Fife Village, among the 98 WW1 names inscribed on it's panels are two of my G-G-Uncles. In common with many memorials there are a few variations/errors in both spelling of names and regimental details. I'm confident I have correctly identified these men but a few remain a tentative match without solid local connections being found, namely Cpl David Balfour, Gordons, Pte. Alexander Brown RAMC, Sgt Alexander Gow Seaforths, Pte William Mack KOSB, Pte Charles McBurnie/McBurnett of the Black Watch and Pte James B Ogilvie HLI.
