King Edward's High School Birmingham Roll of Honour

King Edward's High School Birmingham Roll of Honour

A Roll of Honour of men who have attended King Edward's High School, New Street, Birmingham and who fell in the Great War. This community includes not only those men who are commemorated on the bronze memorial plaque in the current school chapel, but also those men who died as a direct result of the Great War but whose names do not appear on the memorial plaque, namely Cuthbert George Llewellyn Allen, John Edward Kenneth Bache, Richard Balfour Bourne, John Haydon Cardew, Baron Fullerton Clive, John Newman Connolly, Frederick Lynn Disturnal, William Hereward Ehrhardt, John Thomas Eldridge, Oswald James Nicholl, Robert John Orford, Charles William Schwaben, Edgar Francis Talbot, Ernest Thornton and John Osborn Walford. Unfortunatly I was unable to find any military record for Herbert Harry Weston Brown, so he does not appear in this community. Included in this community is Private George Barker Smith, who was married to my Grandmother at the time. Andrew Lloyd (OE,1972)
