The Bravest Little Street in England

The Bravest Little Street in England

Chapel Street in Altrincham, Cheshire (which no longer exists) was known as 'the Bravest Little Street in England' because from 60 houses on this street, 161 men served in the First World War. An exhibition at AIR Gallery, Altrincham by artist Carole Evans commemorated the men of this street, and the 9 individuals featured in this Community were named in the exhibition.
