Under Siege inside Kut was the Sumana and 4 horseboats with 4.7" guns and Naval guncrews plus several river launches. They had just made it back from the Battle of Ctesiphon. I expect there to have been about 35 Naval personnel in total who, on the fall of Kut 29/4/16, will have become PoWs of the Turkish. I have so far identified 33, of which only 3 survived captivity (Laird, Matthews and Wilton, all DSMs).---LOTFWW vols have kindly set up the missing lives. But there were probably two or three more survivors ?
