Ascension Island: Ascension Island New Cemetery (Burials x 6)

An extension of the old cemetery at Georgetown, and belongs to the Colonial Government. Ascension Island New Cemetery contains six burials of the Great War, two of which (Krooman William Hard RN and Krooman John Smith RN) cannot now be traced and are represented by Special Memorials (Type E) indicating discretely that they are "known to be buried in this cemetery" and boldly inscribed "THEIR GLORY SHALL NOT BE BLOTTED OUT".
