Lives of the First World War

Members of the Nicholls Family from Finedon, Northamptonshire. Eliza Jane Clark married Walter Nicholls in 1884. They had four children Lilla Vorley born 1885, Alf (Ernest Charles Alfred)1887, Will (John William) 1889 and Arthur (George Arthur) 1893. Eliza remarried Richard Smith in 1894 and had two more children Annie Elizabeth 1895 and Sarah Gertrude 1897. All of Eliza's sons served in the Army during the First World War. No service records survive for Arthur and there is no evidence to link him to a life page.
