This note gives two Army numbers for John Creevy. #9575 is the service number assigned to his alias when he enlisted in the 2nd Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles as 'George Smith' in 1911. #7006456 is the service number assigned to John Creevy at the point when he was discharged from the Royal Ulster Rifles in 1920. John Creevy was wounded and captured in Caudry after the Battle of Caudry on 26/08/1914 (aka Battle of Le Cateau) and imprisoned by the Germans until 1919.
