Pte Benjamin Farnhill 265632, 18th Bn Yorkshire Regt Died of wounds from shell fragments whilst sheltering in a doorway in St Paul’s Road, Cliftonville during the air raid on 30th September 1917. He was aged 41 and was serving on Home Defence duties at Margate. He was born at Dewsbury where he made his home with his wife, Harriet. Interred at Dewsbury Cemetery
