Herbert is standing on the far right.Herbert wrote of being sent to Pembroke Dock and other UK locations, and we know he was at Etaples, but the location of this picture is not known.Contributed by:

Letters referring to Herbert's last day.On his last day Herbert sent a card saying he was quite well. It was followed by letters from the commanding officer and the chaplain describing the manner of his death and the place of burial.Contributed by:
