Portrait photograph of Walter Elliott DicksonPrivate Walter Elliott Dickson 26 Battalion, Royal Fusiliers Pte Elliot, a bomber serving with A Company, 1 Platoon, was reported wounded and missing, aged 19, on 7 October 1916 during the Battle of the Somme. His death was confirmed three days later. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
