Postcard from H Dillistone, 24/10/1917Mrs H Dillistone, c/o Mrs Penniforld, Porthall Place, Brighton, Sussex On Active Service. BEF France. Wednesday 24th Oct '17. My own darling Celine, I was so glad to get your ripping letter tonight after not having one two nights running. I wish I could have shared that goose with you, Dearest. I am quite fit still and in the same spot out here; have great hopes of the peace conference in Paris this week. Another "green" letter tomorrow, my love, to cheer you up, on Sunday I hope, with luck. Weather is rough and wet again, so it will put a stop to air raids. Many thousands of people will be glad of the respite. Au revoir, my Pet, with fondest love & thoughts from your Harold.
