HOODY CROWS ON A FRENCH CORN STACKTHIS IS ONE OF THE PICTURES 2ND LT HEO MURRAY DIXON MENTIONS HIS HAVING PAINTED WHILST AT THE FRONT, IN HIS LAST LETTER, DATED THE DAY HE WAS WOUNDED, 9TH APRIL 1917 IN AN ATTACK ON VIMY RIDGE WITH THE SEAFORTH HIGHLANDERS. HE DIED OF WOUNDS THE NEXT DAY.
