The full inscription reads: In / Loving Memory of / Isaiah, / The beloved Husband of Harriet Lees, / Who died Sept 3rd 1911 / Aged 58 years. / "In the midst of life / We are in death." / Also the above named / Harriet Lees, / Who died Jan. 15th 1943, / Aged 89 years, / Also Lce-Cpl FRED LEES / Son of the above, Who died of wounds, Jan 31st 1918, / Aged 23 Years / Interred at Anzin, France / Thy will be done / Fred Lees however is not buried in Wombwell Cemetery but at Anzin-St. Aubin, .British Cemetery.
