Letter from Charles dated 22/3/1917Letter is dated 22/3 1917.It is written in pencil and very badly faded. Charles sister Ivy was much younger than him and always regretted drawing on the letter and envelope when she was a child. Part of the letter that can be read My Dear Mother, Just a line thanking you very much for letter I received today.It has put a different life in me. I begin to wonder if you were right. Hope all's well at home we are. I am getting on alright now. Looks as if we are not coming home yet but I still live in hope of seeing you shortly. Well Mum how are my friends getting on I hope they are alright .I hope that Joe is getting on alright at work and Will getting on at Albert's.
