From Farnham Herald, 2-10-1915 and 7-10-1916Robert Javes was living in 1 Endor Cottages, Badshot Lea in the 1911 census.. Born 23-5-1896 in Pullingers Cottages, Badshot Lea. Son of Robert and Anna Javes. Old Boy of Badshot Lea School. Top of class 7, Sept 1904. Killed 15-9-16 near Delville Wood at start of Battle of Fleues/Coucelette, when tanks were used for the first time. The following day, 10th Queens took all their objectives.Contributed by:
