Result of Medical Board following an operation to remove a foreign body remaining in him from his wound at Beaumont Hamel 28/8/1916 ( not 3rd Sept as stated on the form ). This started to trouble him, possibly around December 1917, shortly after joining the 3rd Bn Suffolk reg't as a 2nd Lieut.
