John B McDowellJohn B McDowell in uniform in his role as cinematographer/war correspondent. He originally worked alongside Geoffrey Malins and they were responsible for the Battle of the Somme film. When malins was eventually invalided out, John McDowell had charge of 7 cinematographers/war correspondents in France. He was the sole cinematographer of the funeral of Baron Von Ritchofen (The Red Baron)
