Marie & her son Michael seated on a memorial bench, Eastgate Hornsea East Yorkshire. The bench commemorates 2nd Lt. W.H. Collinson, 6th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, killed in action 5th January, 1916. Inscribed on the rear of the bench are the famous, opening lines of Rupert Brooke's poem 'The Soldier'. 'If I should die, think only this of me: That there's some corner of a foreign field That is forever England.'
