    Describes William's employment as an "Odd Chap on farm". Sister Harriet is now known as Mildred where previous census was "Harriet M aged 6". Grandmother Elizabeth Jane on 1901 census now know as Jane and ages correlate. Older siblings Alfred (now 23) and Ellen (now 20) not entered for census, presumably moved on.

  • Home of William Old's parents, Wimborne
    This is the home of William's parents 431 Long Lane, Wimborne. The parents Henry & Ellen are recorded living there on the 1922 Electoral Roll and I presume this is where William also lived prior to him joining up. The house is one that belonged to the Kingston Lacey Estate, the Banks family and was for estate workers so presume they worked there.
