Register of soldiers' effectsThe register shows that Oswald died [of wounds] at No 7 Stationary Hospital, Boulogne on 19 January 1915. We see that his father George was paid £9 8s in respect of his accumulated pay in April 1915 and a war gratuity of £5 in May 1919. This is the only record known that shows the date on which Oswald enlisted: 9 July 1910.
