Reference from Major D D Pole EvansA reference written for Bdr Pratt by Major D D Pole Evans of D Battery, 112th Brigade, R.F.A. It states: "Bdr Pratt has been with this Battery ever since it was formed in 1914. During the whole time he has borne an irreproachable character. He is absolutely trustworthy and reliable and quite fearless. He is a very capable man with horses and has the reputation of being the best wheel driver in the Battery. He is equally good riding or driving either a single horse or a pair. He was for some time a very good officer's groom."Contributed by:
