Description: Official discharge certificate 1919. Enlisted 9th May 1912 Glasgow serving 2 years 88 days in the Territorial Force and 4 years 199 days with the Colours. He was with the 1st Highland Field Company renamed 400 Field Company attached to the 51 Highland Division.

Additional: This is my grandfather's certificate and was in a collection of family papers. He was gassed in 1918 and died in 1939 suffering 20 years of ill health as a result.

Additional: This is my grandfather. He was admitted on 1st March 1918 with PUO (Pyrexia of unknown origin). Also known as trench fever.He was transferred to another hospital on the sick convoy on 4th March 1918.
