The Little Gaddesden Roll of HonourThe Roll of Honour, which hangs in St Peter & St Paul's Church, Little Gaddesden and lists 119 names of those from Little Gaddesden, Ringshall and Hudnall who served in the 1914 – 1918 War. Men who have answered their country’s call in defence of a “Scrap of Paper”. Edward’s entry reads: SAUNDERS, Edward 1st Bn. Hertfordshire Regiment, although his service was in fact in the Bedfordshire Regiment, then the Labour Corps.

Grave of Edward, Ellen and Alec SaundersThe grave of Edward Saunders, his wife Ellen and their son Alec in the old churchyard of SS Peter and Paul, Little Gaddesden. The inscriptions read On the main headstone: In/ loving memory of/ Ellen Saunders/ who died January 29th 1953/ aged 70 years/ also of Edward Saunders/ died October 21st 1957/ aged 68 years.
