Compatriot's account.OTHER RANKS This book gives a faithful account, from one who was there, of what life was like for the Loyal North Lancashire compatriots in the otherwise unimaginable conditions of War on the Somme. Published late (1931) it has since become both rare and valued as a tribute to the sacrifice of a generation of Other Ranks.
