Description: 2 Lieutenant Leonard Neville Thornton 11 Battalion (attached 10 Battalion), Gloucestershire Regiment Lt Thornton was reported missing, aged 21, on 22 July 1916 during the Battle of the Somme. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
